CHA Plan for Transformation

The CHA Plan for Transformation was created to provide quality affordable housing options in viable communities for CHA residents. The goal is to rehabilitate or redevelop 25,000 public housing units to increase the housing options available and to ensure that CHA residents are accessing the wide array of services provided by the City of Chicago and other entities.

CHA Plan
The CHA Plan represents the largest reconstruction of public housing in the nation's history. Under the Plan, the CHA seeks to reform administration, renew physical structure of CHA properties and promote self-sufficiency of public housing residents.
