Engine 18 Celebrates its 135th Anniversary

On June 21, 2008, Engine 18, located at 1123 W. Roosevelt, celebrated its 135th year anniversary of loyal service to the citizens of Chicago and the surrounding community. Fire Commissioner Raymond Orozco, firefighters, paramedics and their families were in attendance to join in the festivities. Retired members were telling stories about their days at Engine 18 and the active members assigned to Engine 18 are excited about the new firehouse that is being built now. This firehouse is the oldest working firehouse in the City of Chicago. A great time was had by all those who attended.
