Honorable Commissioner:

ChildLink is a Child Welfare Organization serving all of the Chicago Communities, our primary areas of service are the Pilsen, Little Village and Lawndale neighborhoods

ChildLink serves about 300 youth ranging in ages from birth to 21 years of age. We have an outstanding foster parent program, counseling for our foster children and we also do counseling for the Chicago Public Schools. ChildLink also has a homeless youth intervention program and we offer parenting classes.

On Friday February 29, 2008 we had a foster parent meeting located at Dvorak Park. For this meeting, we arranged for a speaker from your department to discuss fire prevention.

The City of Chicago Fire Department sent a wonderful representative (Ambulance Commander (A.C.) Peggy Murphy). A.C. Murphy was informative and professional. She is truly an asset. It was our good fortune to have A.C. Murphy teach us about fire prevention and evacuation. A.C. Murphy approached this task with professionalism and humor.
