Freedom of Information requests should be printed or typed and include the following information: the name, mailing address and daytime phone number of the requester; and a description of the records being requested. Documents can be mailed or dropped off in person.

The Office of Emergency Management and Communications maintains the following categories of records:

Electronic Records

  • 911 phone call and radio recordings (preserved for 30 days)

  • 911 CAD Unit and event data (preserved for 4 years)

  • Superfund and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III, EPCRA Act and Chemical Inventory information

  • high rise emergency evacuation plans


Hard Copies

  • SARA Title III, EPCRA Act and Chemical Inventory Information

  • emergency release notifications

  • high rise emergency evacuation plans
