Visiting Chicago Green Tech

Visiting CCGT











The Chicago Center for Green Technology is located at 445 North Sacramento Boulevard in Chicago. It is open to the public Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Center is closed on Sunday. Visitors are welcome to explore the public areas of the building and campus. Brochures for self-guided tours are available at the building.

The Chicago Department of Environment offers a variety of free educational programs at Chicago Green Tech for professionals and the public. See our calendar of events for more information.

Guided and self-guided tours of the building and grounds are also available. Please call (312) 746-9642 for more information.

Free guided tours of Chicago Green Tech are available for groups of 10 or more persons and are subject to staff availability. The tour request form is available by emailing greentech@cityofchicago.org.

By Bike
The Chicago Center for Green Technology is located at 445 N. Sacramento Blvd (between Chicago Ave. and Lake St.), 60612. Bike racks are located in front and behind the building. Find your route at http://www.ci.chi.il.us/Transportation/bikemap/keymap.html .

By Car
From the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) eastbound: Exit at Sacramento Blvd. Turn left (north) onto Sacramento and travel about one mile to the Chicago Center for Green Technology. It is located on the right (east) side of the street, at 445 N. Sacramento, between Lake St. and Chicago Ave. Visitor parking lots are located directly in front and behind the building.

From the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) westbound: Exit at California Ave. Turn right (north) onto California and travel 8 blocks to Lake St. Turn left (west) onto Lake St. and travel three blocks to Sacramento Blvd. Turn right (north) onto Sacramento and travel four blocks to the Chicago Center for Green Technology. It is on the right (east) side of the street, at 445 N. Sacramento, between Lake St. and Chicago Ave. Visitor parking lots are located directly in front and behind the building.

From the Kennedy Expressway (1-90) eastbound: Exit at California Ave. Turn right (south) onto California and travel four blocks to Fullerton Ave. Turn right (west) onto Fullerton and travel four blocks to Sacramento Blvd. Turn left (south) onto Sacramento and travel about 2.5 miles, through Humboldt Park, to the Chicago Center for Green Technology. The Center is on the left (east) side of the street, at 445 N. Sacramento, about .5 mile past Chicago Ave. Visitor parking lots are located directly in front and behind the building.

From the Kennedy Expressway (1-90) westbound: Exit at North Ave. Turn left (west) onto North Ave. and travel approximately 2 miles to North Humboldt Blvd. Turn left (south) onto North Humboldt Blvd. After driving south through Humboldt Park, the name of the street will change to Sacramento Ave. Continue south on Sacramento for about one mile to the Chicago Center for Green Technology, which is on the left (east) side of the street, at 445 N. Sacramento, about .5 mile past Chicago Ave. Visitor parking lots are located directly in front and behind the building.
