Overnight Lane Closures Return to Sections of South Lake Shore Drive this Weekend

South Lake Shore Drive work crews this weekend will begin to shift traffic onto new pavement near the north end of the reconstruction zone. As drivers approach the area near McCormick Place, here's what they will find:

  • Beginning at 10 p.m. tomorrow night (Saturday) through 1 a.m. Sunday morning, traffic will be down to one lane southbound between 18th Street and 31st Street.

  • Beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday through 1 a.m. Monday morning, traffic will be down to one lane northbound between 31st Street and 18th Street.

  • Drivers should expect lane shifts as crews prepare for new lane configurations.
